I’ve been an NBA fan for a long time (go Warriors). But my love of the game has never intersected with any of my data science work.

Yet.

In an attempt to consolidate the two with some fun writing I’ve made a list of websites external to Medium that deal with NBA data. I’ve also listed publications, authors, and specific posts on Medium that deal with NBA data analytics.

I’ve tried to break it down into manageable categories but it’s admittedly a mess right now. I figure some people will find some use in it anyways, and I’ll update the list order to make this more useable in the future.

This is by no means comprehensive — Although I’ll keep updating it to make it be as exhaustive as possible.

Based on my preliminary research: if you’re looking to start an NBA data science project I’d check out Hardwood Convergence by first.

If you have a suggestion for resources to add please send me a note!!
